Partner with Project Sifu - Martial Arts. Filmmaking. Cultural Exchange. Empowering Youth.
Project Sifu is more than a film project — it’s a movement.
After a powerful pilot programme in Sheffield in 2025, Project Sifu brought together young people from across diasporic communities — Hong Kong, China, Myanmar, India, Italy, and the UK — to train in martial arts, learn action filmmaking, and create original short films that express identity, resilience, and intercultural dialogue.
Now, we’re planning Project Sifu 2 — and we need your support.
Our Vision for Project Sifu 2 (2026–2027)
Building on the success of our 2025 launch, Project Sifu 2 will:
Scale up nationally: Collaborate with new cities and communities across the UK.
Develop a longer-form documentary and multiple short films with professional-grade production values.
Deepen mentorship: Bring in established action filmmakers, editors, and fight choreographers.
Train youth as industry-ready creatives: Giving them the tools, confidence, and network to step into creative careers.
Why Invest in Project Sifu?
Proven Impact: Our first documentary was selected for Fighting Spirit Film Festival 2025 and praised for its authenticity, community engagement, and cinematic quality.
Growing Audience: With rising interest in diasporic storytelling and martial arts cinema, Project Sifu sits at the intersection of timely themes and timeless appeal.
Scalable Model: From local workshops to national tours, the Sifu model can be adapted for TV, streaming, and education platforms.
Social Change Through Storytelling: Empowering diasporic youth through action cinema is not only culturally meaningful — it changes lives.
